Weighted stuffed animals: product details and care

By the Flutterby editorial team. Updated October 6, 2026. This is product information, not an individual treatment plan or a clinician-reviewed protocol.

Charlie and Asha are 3.3 lb weighted stuffed animals with companion story coloring books. They are not microwavable.

Can I use them for an exercise program?

This article does not prescribe exercises, repetitions or strengthening activities. Discuss activity suitability with a qualified professional. Follow the product’s Safety Guidelines, inspect seams before use, and surface-clean with a damp sponge rather than soaking or machine washing.

Evidence and limits

Studies of weighted vests have produced mixed findings in different groups. They do not establish that Flutterby hoodies treat anxiety, improve sleep, or work for every wearer. A vest study is not a clinical test of this product.
